When you're standing outside the door looking in, Hollywood appears to be a huge, forbidding arena surrounded by an enormous KEEP OUT sign. But the reality is quite different. Anyone is allowed in if they follow the rules. And no one knows those rules better than this week's guest.

Michele Wallerstein is a screenplay consultant who helps writers make their work marketable to the Hollywood community; she also teaches the ins and outs of the business of screenwriting and career management. She speaks at film festivals, pitch fests and writers' groups around the country.

Before becoming a consultant, Michele was a Hollywood literary agent representing writers, directors, and producers of feature films, movies for TV, and television series. She served as executive vice president of Women In Film.

Michele's book, Mind Your Business: A Hollywood Literary Agent's Guide To Your Writing Career, explains the secret "rules" of working as a screenwriter in Hollywood.
