This week, Andy Hayes offers quick tips for presenting yourself effectively on the Web and tackles two case studies involving Writing Show listeners.

Known internationally for his expertise in social media, Andy Hayes, a travel industry writer based in Scotland, is a busy guy. When he’s not travelling to support content for his popular travel lifestyle magazine, Sharing Travel Experiences, he is out giving workshops under the auspices of his travel marketing organization, Travel Online Partners.

Andy was born in the United States and lived in several cities--most notably Amsterdam--before moving to his current home in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has degrees in both organizational leadership and information technology and spent many years working in enterprise Web software before moving exclusively into the travel and tourism industry.

Described as “a young Internet star,” Andy has spoken at a number of tourism workshops in the U.S. and the UK, as well as at conferences such as TBEX. He will be the moderator of Eye for Travel’s 2010 Prague Summit as well as a workshop speaker for Blogworld and New Media Expo 2011. His down-to-earth and real-world view of social media marketing, as well as Webs ite usability and other Web technologies, have proved to be a massive hit with small business owners.

Andy is a staff writer for several prominent travel Web sites, including PlanetEye and the Matador Network. He is the author of  Historic Walking Guides: Edinburgh, not to mention iPhone apps and an entire line of ebooks for small business.
